With our video series “Rhetoric Basics for Teaching Videos”, we would like to give you an overview of the most important aspects to keep in mind when producing your own teaching videos.

Teaching in front of a camera often poses new challenges. We have produced the video series “Rhetoric Basics for Teaching Videos” in close collaboration with rhetoric trainer Barbara Greese, in order to help you navigate the production of your first own teaching videos. The video series is permanently available for all teachers at UBT via the panopto server (you will have to log in with your bt username).

In the videos, we deal with movement in front of the camera, audience contact, choosing the right tone, presenting course contents, stage fright and choosing the right outfit. Should you plan on producing a teaching video or collaborating in a MOOC, we recommend you watch the complete introduction. If you would like individual coaching afterwards, feel free to contact us. We can also provide didactic and media-specific help for your own teaching videos.
